WASHINGTON COUNTY, Ohio (WOUB) – Here are the unofficial results for contested races and local issues in Washington County.
Randall Jedlink earned a position as Judge of Municipal Court with 56.81% of the vote. Shoshanna Brooker earned 43.19% of the vote.
Republican Susan J. Abdella earned a position as Mayor of Belpre City with 46.49% of the vote. James E. Nelson earned 25.42% of the vote. Romel Henderson earned 18.79% of the vote. Alan Millhone earned 9.30% of the vote.
Republican David E. Ferguson, Republican Nathaniel S. Godfrey, and Republican Penne L. Riffle earned a position as Member of Council at Large for Belpre City, with 27.41%, 26.77% and 24.62% of the vote. Democrat Michael L. Lorentz earned 21.20% of the vote.
Republican Joshua D. Schlicher earned a position as Mayor of the city of Marietta with 69.32% of the vote. Anne Labes earned 29.93% of the vote. A write-in earned 0.74% of the vote. Ari Gold/David Labes earned 0.0% of the vote.
Republican Susan L. Vessels earned a position as President of Council of Marietta with 53.83% of the vote. Democrat David Grande earned 46.17% of the vote.
Republican Sherri J. Hess earned a position as Marietta City Auditor with 66.57% of the vote. Alison Arocho earned 33.43% of the vote.
Democrat Harley Noland, Republican Cassidy Shoaf and Republican Ben Rutherford earned a position as Member of Council at Large of Marietta City, with 21.60%, 20.80% and 20.21% of the vote. Democrat William Farnsworth earned 19.99% of the vote. Democrat Kevin M. Paskawych earned 17.40% of the vote.
David Hanes earned a position as mayor of Lowell Village with 55.56% of the vote. Charity Clutter earned 44.44% of the vote.
Terry Dunn, Sr. earned a position as Mayor of New Matamoras with 66.52% of the vote. Shane M. Bellville earned 33.48% of the vote.
Chase Cline and Jane Beattey earned a position as New Matamoras Member of Council with 25.28% and 21.22% of the vote. Jay Berentz earned 15.12% of the vote. Paul Joseph Spears earned 12.87% of the vote. John W. Bellville earned 9.71% of the vote. Rick Dusky earned 8.80% of the vote. Danny LeMasters earned 7.00% of the vote.

Voters in Washington County approved a Children’s Service levy – 0.55 mills/5 years by a vote of 63.29% to 36.71%.
Voters in New Matamoras voted down a Property Tax levy – 3 mills/5 years by a vote of 59.57% to 40.43%.
Voters in Barlow Township approved a Property Tax Levy – 1.5 mills/5 years by a vote of 80.78% to 19.22%.
Voters in Independence Township voted down Property Tax Levy 2.21 mills/5 years by a vote of 52.94% to 47.06%
Voters in Salem Township approved a Property Tax Levy – 2 mills/5 years by a vote of 80.53% to 19.47%.
