Ohio Football bowl projections: Where the Bobcats are predicted to play ahead of Week 7

ATHENS, Ohio (WOUB) — Despite the Ohio Bobcats (3-2, 1-0 MAC) having a bye week last week, the team has gained a couple more projections from national media to make a bowl game. All the Bobcats need are three more wins over their next seven games in order to reach six wins to become eligible for a bowl game as well. With conference realignment reshaping college football, the 2024-2025 bowl season could look a little different for Ohio. Ahead of Week 7 in college football season, here’s who, when, and where nine national media outlets predict Ohio will play.

The MAC is also eligible for an auto-bid in the new 12-team College Football Playoff. The top-ranked Group of Five conference champion receives an automatic bid to the Playoff.

Ohio is back in action Oct. 12 at 4 p.m. at Central Michigan, with the game airing nationally on ESPNU.
