Excursions: Jazz Motifs w/ Dr. Art Cromwell: Chi-Congo: Chicago’s Percussion Ensembles
With its latest release “Spirit Gatherer,” the Chicago based Ethnic Heritage Ensemble celebrates its 53rd year of performance. Excursions presents a retrospective of the Ensemble that affords the opportunity to feature other Chicago percussionists:
Famoudou Don Moye, Thurman Barker, Hamid Drake, Adam Rudolph, Jack DeJohnette, and Ethnic Heritage Ensemble’s leader Kahil El ‘Zabar.
