Ohio State Old Time Fiddlers Contest returns to Stuart’s August 15

NELSONVILLE, Ohio (WOUB) – One of Ohio’s premier fiddling events returns to the historic Stuart’s Opera House this summer as part of the annual Nelsonville Parade of the Hills.
The long-running contest invites fiddlers of all ages to take the stage in a spirited competition that celebrates traditional music and showcases local talent.
Participants will compete in four age divisions: 12 and under, 13–18, 19–54, and 55 and older. Cash prizes and awards will be given to the top three performers in each age group, with a Grand Champion also named from among the older divisions.
Registration is open online at paradeofthehills.org/fiddlers or in person on the day of the event. General admission is $10 and tickets can be purchased online via Stuart’s Opera House or at the door.
The contest is presented by the Nelsonville Parade of the Hills in partnership with Stuart’s Opera House.
