The overtime shootout between Westfall Mustangs and Circleville Tigers

WILLIAMSPORT, Ohio (WOUB) — Westfall and Circleville met up for the 32nd time Friday night. The crowds and teams were both energized coming into the game.
Circleville starts off with the ball in the beginning as they head towards the end zone of Westfall.
On the first play of the game the Tigers got a loss of yards. After this play they did not waste any time getting up on the scoreboard. It took them 8 plays and 4 minutes to get to the endzone to put up 7 points first.
The Mustangs were responsive right back when they got their turn with the ball. #5 Quinn Eberly and #13 Eli Wright were the two key players in this drive. They led the team to a touchdown to bring the game to 7-7.
Westfall sophomore, Brendon Dingess gets a big stop against Circleville senior, Kole Nungester to give the Mustangs back the ball after a 4th and 4.
Circleville quarterback, Hudson Phalin comes into the second quarter with a keeper touchdown to bring the Tigers back in the lead.
The Mustangs came back with a huge catch from Quinn Eberly to make it first and goal for them. Eli Wright back at it again with a touchdown to give the Mustangs a tie with Tigers.
Circleville receives the ball at the 20-yard line to run it another 20 yards. Ray Ezell shines with a 29-yard touchdown to give the Tigers a 21-14 lead.
The Mustangs went right back into the scoring grind with a touchdown to bring it back to another tie of 21-21.
Start of third, Westfall gets the ball coming out. But, they don’t get any yardage to make any moves.
The Tigers received the punt and brought it back for an 81-yard touchdown to bring the score to 28-21.
Westfall caught the punt return but fumbled it at the 6-yard line and gained it right back. The next play was a huge one for them, Eberly ran the ball for an 85-yard touchdown to tie it back up at 28.
Circleville responds once again with a carry to give them a 4th and 1. Quarterback Phalin takes the keep with a 4-yard touchdown to give them the lead again 35-28.
The Mustangs followed up with a touchdown in their drive to bring it back to another tie of 35 in the third quarter.
The Tigers tried to end the game with a field goal from goal and 10 but it was no good.
The teams head into overtime at a score of 35 each.
Circleville gets the ball first in overtime and on their drive, they get a quarterback sneak for a 7-yard touchdown to take the lead at 42-35.
Westfall tries to respond back with a touchdown but is no good. Eberly drops back but is sacked to end the run.
The Tigers took the game after a long shootout to keep their undefeated record alive with a final score of 42-35 Circleville Tigers.
