JACKSON, Ohio (WOUB) — The Jackson Ironmen (4-2) hosted the McClain Tigers (3-3) in a homecoming matchup. The Ironmen were able to take the 48-6 victory, playing strongly in each phase of the game.

Jackson started with the ball in the beginning as Ashton Seymour returned the opening kickoff to McClain’s end zone to give the Ironmen a 7-0 lead only eight seconds into the game. The Tigers didn’t make much happen with their first drive of the game as they ended up losing a total of 10 yards. McClain QB Hudson Lovett was sacked to end up at his own 10-yard line.

Next drive, the Ironmen don’t take much to get back up on the board again with a 17-yard touchdown pass from QB Bodhi Wolford to WR Eli Ray to bring the score to 14-0.

It was not until a few drives later that the Tigers would make it on the board for their first and final time. Holden Lyons caught the ball for a 19-yard touchdown to the house. McClain went for a 2-point conversion but was stopped by a swarm of Ironmen to keep it only to 6 points.

Jackson responded with a short drive to the end zone. Ryan Seimetz took it for a long one with a 43-yard touchdown with a good PAT from CJ Crabtree to bring the Ironmen to 21 points. McClain did not have too much positive on the offensive side, but when it got the chance, its throw game was what kept it in the game.

The Ironmen made a quick drive to the end zone with a 16-yard passing touchdown from Wolford to Woodard to bring their lead up to 27-6. Jackson continued this streak with its next three drives to pick up two more touchdowns in the first half to bring the score to 41-6. In the second half, the Ironmen continued their dominance to score one more touchdown to end the game with a 48-6 victory over the McClain Tigers.

McClain looks to break their losing streak as they go on to face the Miami Trace Panthers (7-0) while the Jackson Ironmen look to keep their conference winning streak alive against the Washington Blue Lions (4-3)
