NELSONVILLE, Ohio (WOUB) – Mill Creek Mile is an Athens, Ohio–based acoustic Americana duo featuring Jerrod Goggans on vocals and guitar and Bailey Ries on guitar. The two formed the project after meeting at a Casa Nueva open mic night, bonding over a shared admiration for Doc Watson and a deep interest in roots-driven songwriting.
Their music blends bluegrass, blues, and folk, moving fluidly between propulsive, rhythm-forward passages and quieter, introspective songs.
For their Sycamore Session, recorded during the 2025 Nelsonville Music Festival, the duo performed several selections from their 2025 EP Sand Ridge Sessions, including Beaumont Daylight, Prayin’ For Good Times, and Distance Between.
