12 p.m. – 3 p.m. – Excursions w/ Art Cromwell

“Fugitive Frets” is so named because many of the guitarists featured today are absent from this airspace. This particular “Excursion” is a journey exploring different improvisational approaches that evolved through two generations of guitar artists in both solo and ensemble settings.

Coincidentally, this is the 57th Anniversary of the recording “Emergency!” Tony Williams’ Lifetime trio (May 26 & 27, 1969). The program can be heard as Excursions sits-in Sat. Apr. 25, Noon-3 p.m. EDT, on Radio Free Athens, on WOUB, Ohio University public radio.
