The conversation centers on Still Life, a collaborative project featured in Naffziger’s 2023 collection Strange Bodies, published by Shadelandhouse Modern Press. Developed during the COVID-19 pandemic, the project combines Naffziger’s poetry with Hackworth’s photographs of everyday objects, exploring themes of memory, time, mortality and the search for beauty in ordinary life.
