Celebrate New Concord, a summer entertainment series marking its 15th season, has announced its schedule of performances for 2015.

Unless otherwise noted, performances are held at 7 p.m. in Village Park in downtown New Concord and take place rain or shine. In the event of bad weather, the shows are moved into the firehouse at the park.

There is no admission charge, and visitors should bring a lawn chair or blanket for seating. All performances are family-friendly and suitable for children of all ages.

For the sixth year, food service will be provided by the National Trail Ruritan Club, with proceeds benefiting the New Concord Food Pantry.

The schedule of performances is as follows:

Tuesday, June 2 will feature Northwest Territory, one of Celebrate New Concord’s all-time most popular performers. The group specializes in bluegrass music.

Tuesday, June 16 will feature Friendship Four with an evening of gospel music for the entire family. Friendship Four has performed widely throughout the area.

On Friday, July 10 the New Concord Fireman’s Festival will showcase HB7, making its return to the festival for the fourth year. HB7 is one of the area’s most popular bands and features a wide range of pop, rock and soul from several decades. The band will play until fireworks begin.

Tuesday, July 21 will see the premiere of The Ladies of Longford, offering an evening of Celtic music in a variety of styles, both traditional and contemporary.

Tuesday, Aug. 4 will see another premiere with Abe Parker in a performance of motivational and inspirational music for kids and their families.

Tuesday, Aug. 18 will feature the Muskingum Jazz Group with an evening of classic American jazz favorites.

Celebrate New Concord is sponsored by the Village of New Concord and the New Concord Board of Trade and is made possible through the support of the members’ Celebrate New Concord Patronage Program. The program allows businesses, organizations and individuals to give their financial support to the series.

Anyone wishing to become a member of the patronage program may do so by visiting New Concord Village Hall or any Celebrate New Concord performance to pick up an enrollment form.
