Arrests Made After Death Of Circleville Woman
< < Back to arrests-made-after-death-circleville-womanPolice in central Ohio say they have made four arrests in connection with the severe beating of a 21-year-old woman during a neighborhood brawl.
Circleville police filed rioting charges against two adults and two juveniles Thursday, but no one has been directly charged yet with beating Brittany Jeffers on Wednesday. Police said the people were arrested because they feared some would flee during the investigation.
Jeffers, the mother of two, was declared dead at a Columbus hospital, but her mother says she is being kept on life support so her organs can be donated.
Police said 911 calls reported a large number of people fighting in a street Wednesday. Jeffers' mother, Emily Harvey, said the brawl stemmed from Harvey calling police to report an attempted burglary at a neighbor's house.
