White Falcons Continue to Dominate TVC-Hocking
< < Back to white-falcons-continue-dominate-tvc-hockingA quick school-by-school update on how the TVC-Hocking is shaping up as we head toward the midpoint of the high school football season:
Wahama– One word to describe the Wahama White Falcons this season is "dominant." The last two weeks the White Falcons have put up 60 plus points in each game. The conference is theirs to lose, especially after defeating Trimble in their first game of the season.
South Gallia– The Rebels may be the surprise team in the conference this season. However, with the experience and senior leadership of this squad, their performance should not come as a surprise. South Gallia has had an average margin of victory of 33 points. Unfortunately for the Rebels, their Week 3 loss to Trimble may set them back in the race for the TVC-Hocking championship.
Waterford– The Wildcats are off to a great start and were able to bounce back last week after getting blown out by Fort Frye the week before. However, Waterford has had to earn their 3 wins this season with their average margin of victory being close to 7 points. They will have to play their very best football this Friday when they take on Wahama.
Trimble– The Tomcats got an unexpected bye this past week when their game against Coal Grove was postponed. The Tomcats in Week 3 were able to achieve a huge conference win against South Gallia, which may save their season. This week, Trimble will host Miller in another pivotal TVC-Hocking match up.
Federal Hocking– The Lancers' hard work finally paid off this past week when they were able to beat the Southern Tornadoes for their first win of the season. The Lancers will go for win number two when they welcome Belpre this week.
Eastern- The youthful Eagles have given it their all this season, but are victims of a tough early schedule and inexperience. The good news is that they have a win in the conference. Eastern will have their hands full when they travel to South Gallia this week.
Southern- The Tornadoes nearly had two conference wins in a row, but fell to Federal Hocking in a six point loss this past week. The Tornadoes will play their last non-conference game on Friday against Meigs. From that point on, it's all TVC-Hocking play for this up-and-coming Southern team.
Miller- It’s been a rough two weeks for the Falcons. After starting of the season with two close losses, Miller has been blown out the last two games by tough teams. This week, they have another difficult task ahead of them as they travel to Trimble.
Belpre- Belpre is another team that is a victim of youth and tough scheduling with three of their four losses being double-digit beatdowns. However, they will likely have a good opportunity to get their first win of the season this week when they face Federal Hocking.
