After a hot start in the top of the first, Bowling Green pitchers Paris Imholz and Jamie Kertes shut down the Bobcat offense, allowing only three hits and no earned runs. A fifth-inning sacrifice fly by Bowling Green junior Katie Yoho proved to be the difference, as the Falcons topped Ohio 3-2.

The Bobcats picked up where they left off after their 5-1 victory of the Falcons Saturday, lighting up the scoreboard in the top of the first with a two-run blast by sophomore Adrienne Gebele.

The Falcons responded in the bottom half of the frame with a two RBI single by freshman Marisa Shook.

Ohio had several chances to jump into the lead, but Imholz and Kertes pitched their way out of jams. The sophomores forced the Bobcats to strand runners on base in the fourth and sixth innings.

The Falcons also had trouble bringing runners home, but the home squad managed to notch eight hits off of Ohio pitchers Lauren McClary and Savannah Jo Dorsey.

For Bowling Green, the victory boosts their record to 18-12 (4-4).

The Bobcats (19-14, 4-4) begin a 10-game home stand with a double header against Ohio State Tuesday at 5 p.m.
