Gas Prices In Ohio Drop
< < Back to gas-prices-ohio-dropThe cost for the average gallon of gas in Ohio has dropped by 7.7 cents this past week, according to the website GasBuddy.com.
Ohio motorists can now expect to pay an average of $3.52 per gallon.
Prices across the nation also dropped by an average of four cents, down to $3.58 per gallon.
This week's results have been part of a long-term decline in gas prices.
One year ago today, Ohio motorists were shelling out around $3.76 for a gallon of gas and $3.59 just one month ago.
Gasbuddy.com Senior Petroleum analyst Patrick DeHaan said that Americans are spending $108 million less on gas each day, compared to this time last year.
"In all, 300 Metropolitan Statistical Areas saw cheaper first quarter prices for gasoline than in 2012, with two MSAs showing no significant statistical change," DeHaan said.
