Marietta Riverfront Roar to Offer Boat Racing, Music
< < Back to marietta-riverfront-roar-to-offer-boat-racing-musicMarietta will welcome some of the world’s top powerboat racers this weekend for the annual Riverfront Roar, kicking off Friday evening and continuing through Sunday afternoon.
Held the second weekend in July, the free event features superleague powerboat racing and live music, plus attendees can check out the boats up-close and meet the drivers and crews.
Other attractions include Saturday’s Run for the Roar 5K, which attracts hundreds of runners and walkers from Washington County and beyond. On Friday night, the Roar’s Got Talent Show will feature some of the area’s best performers.
Live music will be presented at the Pepsi Pavilion, a beer garden will be open all weekend and numerous food vendors will be on hand. Visitors can also enjoy a fireworks display on the levee, beginning Saturday at 9:45 p.m.
