Maysville Defense Stifles New Lexington

New Lexington and Maysville racked up many a penalties and turnovers, but it was the Panthers from Maysville who came away with the 21-0 win.
The Maysville rushing trio of Chase Roberts, Johnny Runkle, and Chase Himmelspach combined for 183 yards and two touchdowns with Roberts accounting for both scores and 110 yards. Tanner Ashcraft hit Tyler Jenkins for a 17-yard score to account for the other seven points.
Defensively, New Lexington could not get out neutral. The visiting Panthers mustered up only 52 yards on the night.
New Lexington’s Mitch Wycinski completed only one of six pass attempts and tossed an interception. Running back Andrew Spicer could not find seams in the Maysville defense, picking up 51 yards on 15 rushes.
Maysville’s next matchup is at Philo on September 11 at 7:00 p.m. New Lexington will play Morgan next week at 7:00 p.m. as well.
