OHSAA Releases Computer Ratings Ahead of Week 7

The Ohio High School Athletic Association released its latest set of computer ratings and several teams from within our coverage area find themselves ranked within their respective regions and divisions.

Beginning in D-II, region five, Logan (6-0) is tied for second with Pataskala Licking Heights. Both teams have 13.2167 ratings. Six spots down in eight, Tri-Valley (5-1) yields an 8.8 rating. Logan remains unchanged from last week’s ratings while Tri-Valley jumped up two spots.

In D-III, region nine, Jackson (5-1) jumped up one spot from last week, sitting in second place with its 10.4167 rating. Sheridan (4-2), with its win over Maysville, propelled itself to 11th place in the division with a 6.7333 rating.

Bloom-Carroll (4-2) made a big leap in D-IV, region 13, vaulting from 10th to fifth with an 8.6833 rating. Meanwhile, Maysville’s (5-1) loss dropped it from fourth to eighth with the Panthers earning an 8.1167 rating.

Over in region 14, Meigs (5-1) maintained its No. 11 rank with a 7.1333 rating.

Zane Trace (6-0) is the new top dog in D-V, region 17 with a 12.3167 rating. Alexander (5-1, 7.85) dropped one spot to fifth in the region while River Valley (5-1, 7.7167) climbed one spot to sixth. Wellston (3-3, 4.7333) fell slightly from 10th to 11th.

Lastly, Trimble (5-1, 8.5167) now sits atop D-VII, region 25 after sitting in fourth last week with Miller (5-1, 6.4881) sitting in fourth, and Belpre (4-2, 4.7833) in seventh. The latter two teams made jumps of one and two spots, respectively. Newly-ranked Waterford (3-3, 3.85) and Southern (3-3, 3.85) find themselves tied for 10th. The Tornadoes ranked 12th last week.
