The Marietta College men’s basketball team looks to stay undefeated in Ohio Athletic Conference play, as it prepares to take on the Heidelberg University Student Princes (3-4, 0-2 in OAC).

The No. 22 Pioneers (6-1, 2-0 OAC) are currently riding a 2-game win streak with their only loss coming from a strong No. 3 College of Wooster team.

Marietta will look to take advantage of the Student Princes’ scoring struggles, as the team has been held to under 65 points three times this season. The Pioneers average 68.3 points a game while limiting their opponents to 69.0 points a game.

Pioneer players to watch in this contest will be senior point guard Tyler Hammond who averages 11.0 points, 6.2 assists, 4.2 rebounds, and 1.4 steals a game. Other major contributors are junior wing player Andy Dollman, who averages 11.1 points and 1.9 rebounds a game, and standout sophomore wing player RaNeal Ewing, who averages 12.1 points a game, 3.0 three-pointers, and 1.1 assists a game.

The Student Princes bring transfer junior guard Delonte Holder who averages 12.0 points, two rebounds and 1.6 assists a game. Holder finished with 13 points, his fifth game in double digits, against Mount Union and has looked dangerous from the perimeter this season, shooting 35.3 percent this season.

Last year the Pioneers slayed the Student Princes, 75-63.

Tipoff is at 3 p.m. on Saturday.
