< < Back to law-enforcement-bust-alleged-portsmouth-drug-ringLaw enforcement officials in Scioto County say they’ve busted a Portsmouth drug ring.
On Wednesday, detectives from the Southern Ohio Drug Task Force arrested six of the ten people indicted earlier this month by a grand jury on a number of felony drug trafficking charges. Those under arrest are: Norma Carroll, 40; Harold Slark, Jr., 43; Tiffany Bussler, 34; Cassie Hall, 30; Natalie Moore, 30; and Kenyatta Connally, 41. Of the four remaining people indicted, officers are still looking for Amber Cummings, 38 and Cory Partlow, 37. Already serving time in jail for crimes not related to the drug ring case are Christopher Eckstein, 36 and Michele Deshon Booth, 42.
The Scioto County Sheriff’s Office says detectives seized approximately 100 grams of heroin, along with 30 grams of cocaine, more than $9,000 in cash, and property believed to have been bought with money from selling drugs. All 10 individuals indicted in connection with the drug ring are residents of Portsmouth.
