Marietta Looks To Complete Season Sweep Of Otterbein
< < Back to marietta-looks-complete-season-sweep-otterbeinThe Marietta Pioneers men’s basketball team is looking to sweep the Otterbein Cardinals on the season Wednesday night when the Cardinals travel to Marietta. Since their first meeting the Cardinals have slipped to 4-13 and the Pioneers are a conference title contender at 13-4.
When the Pioneers traveled to Westerville early in the year, they came away with a 37-point victory. Marietta dominated Otterbein in all shooting categories. Marietta shot 63% from the floor that night, and the Cardinals only managed 34%.
The main scorer Marietta will have to worry about once again is Jake Bischoff. Bischoff is averaging 16.3 points per game, and has been key for the Cardinal offense. Bischoff was able to sneak 18 points in the first matchup. The key to a Marietta victory will be to hold Bischoff to minimal damage.
