The appliance maker based in Benton Harbor, Michigan, says it’s putting $80 million into the two projects.
Whirlpool this past week celebrated completion of an expansion doubling the size of its Greenville plant in western Ohio that makes KitchenAid mixers and blenders.
The company on Wednesday kicked off construction at its dishwasher factory in northwestern Ohio.
The plant in Findlay employs some 2,300 people and expects to add 50 new jobs once the $41 million expansion is completed.
Whirlpool also has Ohio operations in Clyde, Marion and Ottawa.
