OU President’s Residence For Sale
< < Back to ou-presidents-residence-for-saleThe home at 31 Coventry Lane, where President Roderick McDavis and his wife are currently living is up for sale.
This is the same house that caused a ruckus, last year, when the University started then halted a 1.2 million dollar rent-to-own plan with the homeowner & OU alum John Wharton.
According to the University, once it was learned Wharton made comments regarding future pledges to the school OU officials scrapped the ownership plan because they wanted to “avoid the appearance of impropriety.”
Still, the dead deal reportedly prompted an investigation by the Office of the Inspector General. There’s no word on the status of that investigation because the agency will not comment on a case until it is closed.
The current lease with the Ohio University Foundation is set to expire next June. That is also when President McDavis will retire from his position with the University.
