Detectives from the Hocking County Sheriff’s Office’s Interdiction Unit notified the Athens Major Crimes Unit after they received information about a possible meth lab located in a shed behind a residence on Knollwood Court.
Detectives from Athens County obtained a search warrant for the property, where “evidence that methamphetamine was being manufactured” was found inside the shed, according to an Athens County Sheriff’s Office release.
“An active vessel used in the manufacturing process, as well as several chemicals used to manufacture methamphetamine were found,” the release stated.
The suspect, who was not named in the release, was taken to Southeastern Ohio Regional Jail on unrelated charges.
“Charges for this incident will be presented to a future Grand Jury,” according to the release.
