The state says it's delaying the enforcement of new regulations that require Ohioans to do more to get unemployment benefits.

The rules require those seeking unemployment compensation to post their resumes on Ohio's job-search website, take three assessments and complete an unemployment questionnaire to continue receiving benefits.

A spokeswoman for the Ohio Department of Job and Family Services said Wednesday that beneficiaries had password trouble in trying to update their resumes through the website, OhioMeansJobs.com. Spokeswoman Angela Terez says customer service representatives couldn't access the passwords or reset them because of security issues.

Terez says the issue is being fixed.

The state posts basic resumes for people. Individuals then have eight weeks to create a detailed resume. If the requirement isn't met, unemployment benefits are stopped until it's completed.
