Wahama Goes For Perfect Season
< < Back to wahama-goes-perfect-seasonThe followings words can used to describe the Wahama White Falcons play this season dominent, unstoppable, amazing, unreal, ridiculous and simply wow. Whatever words you choose Wahama has pretty much lived up to it every single one. However, they will have their most difficult test of the season this week as they play fellow West Virginia opponent the Buffalo Bisons in the final game of the West Virginia regular season.
Buffalo much like Wahama is ranked in the top 10 in the single A West Virginia state rankings. Buffalo find themselves at number eight with a 7-2 record while Wahama is at number two with a 9-0 record. Buffalo could be undefeated this season though with both their losses being within four points.
“Buffalo this year is quick. They really centered round their quarterback Levi Jordan. He can pass and he also can run and he’s got quick feet,” Said Wahama Coach Ed Cromley.
Wahama is fresh off of clinching the TVC Hocking title outright last week with an impressive 74-8 victory over Miller. The White Falcons have yet to be challenged this season outscoring their opponents 489-67. Coach Cromley is not letting his team think too far head to the possibly of making a second straight Single A championship appearance especially with the injuries the team has had.
“We’re really banged up right now and we’re calling on guys to play through the pain and also calling on the second teamers to fill in,” said Cromley.
Last year when these two played the White Falcons rolled through the Bisons winning 41-8. That was against a Buffalo team that won six games last season. This game will have huge playoff implications for the Bisons as they look to rise up in the Single A standings. Wahama has already clinched a playoff spot and even if they win there is a possibility of the White Falcons losing the second seed.
