Gladden House Sessions Return for Fourth Season

This year’s Nelsonville Music Festival marks the fourth iteration of the Gladden House Sessions, a series that records various artists performing in the festival line up in an intimate setting, accompanied by a quick question and answer session. The series not only allows fans an up close and personal look at the mannerisms and behavior of their favorite musicians, it also provides a valuable opportunity for students of Ohio University’s School of Media Arts and Studies.
“Students get to be a part of a production team and learn about the value and mechanisms of each component. This includes things like video production and editing, artist relations, publicity, research, live audio, and multitrack audio recording and mixing. Students in the School of Media Arts & Studies are able to spend four days at an acclaimed music festival, working first hand with artists across genres to produce content that will reach a national audience,” said Josh Antonuccio, the instructor of the class that focuses on the Gladden House recordings, “Also, they get to see some extraordinary performances.”
The series has become quite popular online, with some performances nearing 100,000 views. Overall, the series has around half a million views.
