Newark Band Director Pleads Guilty To Sex Charges
< < Back to ohio-band-director-pleads-guilty-sex-chargesA former central Ohio band director accused of inappropriate conduct with three students has pleaded guilty to 13 counts, including felony sexual battery and misdemeanor sexual imposition.
Anthony Miller of Westerville changed his pleas Tuesday in Licking County court.
Authorities say the charges against the 33-year-old Miller reflect his conduct with three females who were students at Newark High School, where he worked as assistant band director.
Assistant Prosecutor Mark Zanghi says the maximum sentence for Miller would be more than 34 years.
Miller's sentencing is scheduled Aug. 15.
He was arrested in February and was suspended by Newark City Schools.
