Focusing on Forms while Elaborating with Surface
November 4, 2017 @ 9:00 am - November 5, 2017 @ 4:00 pm
$220.00Here’s how Bill describes his workshop…
“This vessel-focused workshop will help students pay close attention to pots being made both on and off the wheel. We will focus on form and talk about surface as a way to accentuate the geometry of the pot. Demonstrations will include sketching, designing, handbuilding, and throwing as well as multiple discussions that go into the choices involved. We will use slips and texturing tools to develop the surface of these forms. Don’t forget to bring your enthusiasm and love of making pottery. Maybe some random kitchen tools wouldn’t hurt either.”
This workshop is designed for ages 16 and older. It is open to all levels with basic handbuilding and wheel throwing experience. If you need additional information, contact kelly@dairybarn.org. To register, go to http://dairybarn.org/focusing-on-forms-while-elaborating-with-surface/.
