The Meigs County Jail has been operating out of the same building for the last 121 years. As it has not been maintained, it now can only house five inmates at a time. On Election Day voters will choose whether they would approve a new tax levy for the construction and operating of a new “justice center.” The center would focus on rehabilitation and increasing the number of inmates the county could hold.
