Dancers with the Ohio Valley School of Celtic Dance and Culture will showcase folktales from around the world in the production “Dancing the Stories of our Ancestors.” The 2018 Feochadan Project, a full Irish dance show choreographed and produced by OVSCDC’s senior team, features 67 dancers ranging in ages from three to adult, in a colorful and imaginative production inspired by the stories senior team members discovered while researching the countries where their ancestors once lived. Audience members will learn the stories of the changeling of Ireland, Le Reynard of France, the mermaids of Norway and more. Shows take place at 7 p.m., Friday, June 8, and at 2:30 p.m. and 7 p.m. Saturday, June 9. Tickets are $8 for adults, $5 for seniors and students. Children four-years-old and under are free. Tickets can be purchased online a Brown Paper Tickets, at the door, or from one of OVSCDC’s dancers.
