Lady Wildcats Take Down Eastern, Boys Preparing for Trimble Showdown

The holiday break is in full swing as the hardwood action slowed down for the holiday season.
Wildcats
Tom Simms’ crew did not see any action last week as the Wildcats (6-1, 5-0 TVC-Hocking) remain undefeated in TVC-Hocking play. A big week lies ahead as Waterford hosts the Trimble Tomcats (4-0, 3-0) in a matchup between the top two teams in the conference. Waterford and Trimble are the two remaining conference teams without a loss this season, and are set to play on Friday, Jan. 4.
Lady Wildcats
In the only game for either Waterford team, the Lady Wildcats (6-1, 6-0) defeated the Eastern Eagles (5-3, 5-1) 47-31. Waterford remains atop the Hocking and rebounded from their lone non-conference loss to Minford on Dec. 22. The Lady Wildcats will be put to the test against the second-best team in the conference on Jan. 3 against Belpre (9-2, 6-1).
