Beginning Crochet

Always wanted to learn crochet? Come to our Beginning Crochet class at Athens Makerspace!
Crocheting is entirely made up of 3 basic stitches. In this class we will learn these stitches by making a potholder or washcloth out of ‘tarn’ (t-shirt yarn). We will practice techniques for turning our work, increasing, and decreasing.
Hooks and yarn to practice with are provided.
After taking this class, participants will be ready to move on to Intermediate Crochet and start selecting fun and exciting projects to craft to keep or give as gifts!
