The students, their roommates, and anyone who may be in contact with them are being quarantined.
Shawnee State University is working with the Portsmouth City Health Department, and said they expect results of the coronavirus test in the coming days.
The university is still open. Several classes at SSU have been moved to an online format, and the university says they anticipate more classes to move online later this week.
All university-sponsored travel has been suspended until further notice. The student recreation center and Warsaw Aquatic Center will close beginning Wednesday, March 11, until further notice.
