< < Back to ?p=254544COLUMBUS, Ohio (AP) — Ohio Gov. Mike DeWine says the state fully intends for schools to reopen in the fall.
The governor said Tuesday the goal is to have kids back in the classroom. DeWine said at a news briefing that the date for when schools could start is completely up to local school boards.
The governor also says the state will provide districts broad health guidelines while recognizing that districts have different needs and are in different situations.
Health care providers can resume all procedures and surgeries that were postponed during the coronavirus pandemic, including ones that require overnight stays.
