Punk rock band PUP performed at the Newport Music Hall (722 N High St, Columbus, OH) on April 2, 2022. The sold out show was electrified, energized by the fresh release of PUP’s new record, “THE UNRAVELING OF PUPTHEBAND,” the day before. Their music sometimes described as fun punk, the band from Toronto drew in a fantastic crowd eager to get carried away, so to speak, when it was their chance to surf the crowd.
The show was the second on the U.S. leg of the PUP RETURNS THANK F*CKING GOD tour with support from pop-punk band Pinkshift and indie rock band Cloud Nothings. Cloud Nothings played at the Nelsonville Music Festival in 2017, and band members Dylan Baldi and Chris Brown performed an acoustic set for WOUB’s Gladden House Sessions.
