ATHENS, Ohio (WOUB) — The Lewis and Clark Circus, one of the last traditional circus tent shows to perform in the U.S., recently came to southeast Ohio.
The Lewis and Clark Circus performed at the Athens County Fairgrounds June 14 and 15, combining old-time circus traditions with modern innovations. World-class aerialists, acrobats and magicians highlighted the performances.
The Lewis and Clark Circus was founded in 2006 by Bob Childress and is currently owned and operated by circus performers Olena and Vandeir Reis.
The circus has upcoming dates this month in Malvern, Cambridge, Coshocton and Logan.
