WOUB Learning Lab is partnering with the Stevens Literacy Center to offer a Family and Community Learning Workshop (FCL) using the literacy skills resources from the PBS KIDS series, MOLLY OF DENALI ™. An FCL is a series of workshops that engage families in active, hands-on learning experiences. This MOLLY OF DENALI ™ FCL is designed for families with kids ages 5-8. The workshops use creative play and exploration to introduce kids and grown-ups to digital and tangible tools that can be used to develop knowledge, practices, and perspectives. The learning focus for this workshop series is literacy and informational text—text with the primary purpose of conveying information. This series will run for six consecutive weeks with a “Take Home Learning Activity” in place of an in-person session for the week of Spring Break (March 11).
