< < Back to ?p=3328The Washington County Sheriff's Department has released a picture from a security camera of the truck deputies think was involved in a copper theft at Eramet.
Sheriff Larry Mincks says between 8,000 and 10,000 pounds of copper pipe is missing.
The picture shows a white truck with an extended trailer.
Sheriff Larry Mincks says around 6:30 p.m. on Friday Feb. 3, someone cut the lock and loaded the copper pipe into their truck.
"It is a Ford F350 and it's a super-cab and it has racks on it, an after-market bed and with a metal sidings on it so if anyone has any information about that we would appreciate it," says Mincks.
The copper is cut into four foot chunks, weighing 40 pounds each.
The pipe was no longer being used and was being hauled out by the Eramet company in Marietta to be recycled.
Mincks says there are currently no suspects in the case.
