CARROLL, Ohio (WOUB) – The Bloom-Carroll Bulldogs hosted the Hamilton Township Rangers on their senior night. The game ended with a Bloom-Carroll win, 42-7, as they were able to take advantage of every opportunity handed to them.

The Rangers would receive the opening kickoff and Jovon McBride was ready to silence a ruckus Bloom-Carroll crowd. This would be his first start at quarterback this season due to injury, which resulted in a heavily run based offensive aproach. McBride would fake the handoff, reading the defensive end, and pull the ball back into his own arms as he took off for a 60 yard touchdown.

Bloom-Carroll had to answer in front of their home crowd and they delivered. They marched down the field both on the ground and through the air. However, it was the ground game that got the Bulldogs their first points of the night. Beau Sherman would accelerate through the second level of defenders and go 30 yards untouched.

The Rangers would put together a drive that saw them convert two 4th downs, but they failed to convert their third 4th down of the drive. They turned it over on downs and the very next play for the Bulldogs. Ethan Thanthanavong fired a deep shot to his man Rusty Hutchinson for a quick 73 yard score.

Hamilton Township would once again be able to drive down the field, but ultimately had to settle for a field goal. Out of the blue, the kick was blocked and Deven Ash returned it all the way to the house and the Bulldogs went up by 14.

The Bulldogs were not done scoring this half and with only a little over a minuet left in the first half, Ethan Thanthanavong would check it down to Rusty Hutchinson and he would go to work. He would break the first attempt at a tackle and shaked the second defender en route to a 63 yard touchdown. They entered the half being up by 21 and the Bulldogs would not take their foot off the gas.

The Bulldogs were able to score two more times and hold the Rangers scoreless for the remainder of the game. Bloom-Carroll had a successful senior night and won 42-7.

The Bloom-Carroll Bulldogs look to end their season on a high note as they travel to Circleville to take on the Tigers. The Hamilton Township Rangers look to bounce back when they host the Logan Elm Braves next week.
