The Ross County Sheriff’s Department was called to the house Monday to do a welfare check on a woman living in the 100 block of Waugh Road. According to a release from the sheriff, the deputies were unable to make contact with the people in the house.

Deputies obtained a search warrant for the house on Tuesday and discovered the two bodies inside. The Ross County Sheriff then requested that the Ohio Bureau of Criminal Investigation process the evidence from the scene.

The bodies were transferred to the Ross County Coroner’s office, and according to the sheriff, the people have not been identified.

“The evidence points that’s this is a domestic related incident between the 2 residents in the home,” according to a press release from the sheriff. “There is not a threat to the community.”

WOUB reached out to the Ross County Sheriff for comment but did not receive one by the time of publication.

This is a developing story, and WOUB will bring updates when they are available.
