Community Open Studio: Botanical Gelli Prints at Kennedy Museum of Art
October 18 @ 2:00 pm - 4:00 pm
Free

Gelli Prints are one-of-a-kind monotypes made by applying paint to a reusable, gel-like printing plate and transferring the design onto paper. In this session, led by artist and educator Mateo Galvano with studio assistants from the School of Art + Design, we will use botanical samples such as plant cuttings, leaves, and flowers, along with found items and cut-out shapes, which are gently pressed into the surface and lifted away to create colorful, poetic images.
