Sara Marrs Takes Leadership Role

Sara Marrs is the new director of the Athens County Economic Development Council.
Marrs has been the acting director since Todd Shelton left in May to take another job.
She was Marketing amd Communications coordinator for the Council, which manages business development.
Marrs hiring was announced today by Athens Mayor Paul Wiehl.
The announcement followed a national search.
"I am very excited to take on this new leadership role," says Marrs.
She goes on to to say, "I am looking forward to leading all of the efforts of our partners for quality jobs and progress in Athens County."
