Apartment Fire In Meigs County

Several residents are out of their homes this morning after a fire at an apartment building.

Meigs County 911 Dispatchers say the fire started about 2 a.m. at a building on Cole Street in Middleport.

About 2:40 a.m. fire crews reported they had contained the fire and no one was hurt.

There is no word on what may have started the blaze or how much damage was caused.

Middleport, Pomeroy and Rutland fire departments were on the scene.
