Nelsonville Boil Order Rescheduled
< < Back to nelsonville-boil-order-rescheduledThe Nelsonville Water Department has rescheduled a boil order for the entire city.
According to a releast from the city, starting at noon on Wednesday Nelsonville water customers may experience temporary low water pressure and water discoloration due to a main water line being relocated for construction of the new water treatment plant.
The boil order was originally set for Monday, November 12, but was pushed back two days due to a construction delay.
Nelsonville Public Information Officer Dan Pfeiffer says when boil orders are issued, the drinking water may be contaminated which can cause many illnesses.
During a boil order you should bring water to a full boil, and boil for three minutes prior to use.
Also remember that water for bathing does not need to be boiled, but children should be supervised to avoid water being ingested.
