Study Aims To Understand Effects of ADHD
< < Back to study-aims-understand-effects-adhdThe Ohio University Psychology Department is looking for volunteers in a study on children with ADHD.
Volunteers will participate in activities that will gauge their reactions to emotion.
Verenea Serrano, a psychology graduate student, says the goal of the study is to better understand how children with ADHD react to emotion and how this affects their ability to get along with others.
“If we can understand factors that might contribute to these difficulties we can better design interventions and treatments to help these children and their families,” says Serrano.
Participation includes activities for the child, including reading stories and identifying emotion in photos. Parents will also complete assessments and receive a 50 dollar compensation.
