Winter Weather Advisory Issued For Region Starting Saturday

According to the National Weather Service the advisory includes Athens, Morgan, Perry, Lawrence, Washington, Jackson, Vinton, Meigs and Gallia counties in Ohio; Cabell, Wayne, Mason, Wood, Pleasants, Lincoln, Putnam, Roane, and Wirt counties in West Virginia.
Northern portions of the Southeast Ohio region are under the advisory until 7 p.m. Sunday.
The heaviest snowfall is expected Saturday afternoon into the evening.
Affected areas could see between three to five inches of snow.
Ohio Department of Transportation (ODOT) officials out of Districts 9 and 10 report potentially hazardous road conditions. ODOT said all of its available snowplow crews in District 9 are working to clear roads of snow and ice. Drivers are urged to use caution.
