Economic regions center around cities. Agriculture and manufacturing both provide income for Ohio citizens and bring goods and services into the state. Ohio is within 500 miles of more than half of the United States' 300 million people. It has a lot of natural resources, good soil to grow crops, fairly cheap energy, and a lot of methods of transportation to carry goods into and out of the state.
