2020 Census Public Meeting

Community Members, Civic Organizations, Local Governments & Everyone Else is invited to a public meeting about the 2020 Census.

Rose Simmons, Partnership Coordinator with the U.S. Census Bureau, will discuss:
* census design
* background and importance
* importance of participation by all kinds of civic organizations
* what is at stake
* next steps, for those who want to work toward a successful census

Census data are used to determine congressional representation, the distribution of federal money, and where businesses locate. The data are used by programs ranging from SNAP (Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program), to College Pell Grants, to Crime Victim Assistance, and Wildlife Restoration.

The meeting will include discussion about forming a local
