The Athens Food Rescue is holding its 3rd annual Rubber Duck Derby and Family Fun Olympics July 14th 11-3 pm at West State Street Park. We have free field day games for families and kids, a silent auction, a food truck and the rubber duck race in the Hocking River.  We sell tickets that correspond to a duck in the race for a chance to win 3 prizes, but the event is free and open to everyone! This year the prizes are: 1st place $550 gift card to Salt Fork State Park Cabins, 2nd place $200 Snow Trails ski or tubing pass plus $50 visa card, and 3rd place 20 visit Splash Pass to Athens City Pool plus $100 Athena Grand gift card.  All proceeds go to collecting leftover surplus food from local food establishments.  Come join the fun on the 14th!
