The Athens Friends and Newcomers (AFAN) will hold its monthly meeting Thursday, March 14th at Richland Avenue Methodist Church, 60 Pomeroy Road, Athens, OH, beginning at 12:00pm (doors open at 11:30 am).  The program is entitled “Culinary Gardening”.  It will be presented by Ed Brown M.S., the Agriculture & Natural Resources Educator at the OSU Extension Office in Athens.  The lunch will be catered by Nives Knisley.  The menu will consist of soup, corned beef sandwiches, vegetarian wraps with eggplant and assorted veggies,  salad and dessert.  The meal will cost $11.00/person.  Reservation deadline is 6:00pm on Sunday March 10th.  Reservations can be made by e-mailing lemurray56@gmail.com or calling 740-707-2078.
